The Department of Ship Technology, CUSAT, celebrated the release of the Placement Brochure for the 45th Batch on 16th October 2023, at 10 AM in the Seminar Hall of the department. The event was marked by the participation of esteemed guests, alumni, faculty, and students. The event was organized with great enthusiasm and achieved success both in an online mode and internally at the department premises.
The event commenced with Release of Brochure and enlightening online session delivered by Mr. Vinod Janardhanan, Director of South Asia Zone at Bureau Veritas Solutions Marine and Offshore. Mr. Janardhanan, who is also an alumnus of the 6th batch of the Department of Ship Technology, shared invaluable insights on digitalization and decarbonization aspects in the maritime industry. His presentation was well-received by the online audience, including students, faculty, and staff.
Following the online session, an internal release of the Placement Brochure took place at the department premises. Dr. Satheesh Babu P K, the Head of the Department, delivered a presidential address, setting the tone for the event. Dr. K. Sivaprasad, Senior Faculty, and Mr. Aravind K R, Faculty Placement Coordinator, then offered felicitations, adding their valuable insights and support to the occasion.
The Placement Brochure was proudly placed on an exhibition board alongside placement brochures from previous years, dating back to 1996. The collection of previous placement brochures was made possible due to the dedicated efforts of Dr. K. Sivaprasad.
The three individuals mentioned above shared their insights and extended their support during the event, further enriching the experience for the students and attendees.The event’s success was greatly attributed to the diligent efforts of Student Placement Coordinators Adarsh T O and Vishnu P A, who, along with junior batch coordinators and SNAS, added vibrancy and dynamism to the event, ensuring its smooth execution.
The event was attended by students, faculty, and all staff members of the Department of Ship Technology, CUSAT. Their presence and active participation contributed to the overall success of the event.
