The promotional event of DOSTAS International Maritime Seminar 2022, DIMS Lite held from March 25 to 27 under the banner “India Boat and Marine Show (IBMS) (4th Edition)”, at Bolgatty Palace Event Centre Cochin. All the members of the Department from the faculty members to the students, marked their active presence and participation in the event conducted by the Department of Ship Technology Alumni Society. The Head of Department, Prof Dr. Satheesh Babu PK, was the Chief Guest of the event, launching the Brochure of the event. President of DOSTAS, Mr. Ashik Subahani and many other delegates from the Maritime industry graced the event with their valuable presence. The event hosted several researchers from the field for technical session filled with innovations and ideas. The organizers gifted the presenters with memorandum as a token of gratitude. The aspiring naval architects of the department showed keen interest in the technical sessions which were much educational and inspiring.
The event also hosted several companies from the industry to display their novel innovative products. It gave the participants a real and direct exposure the happenings of the industry and was very novel experiences for the freshers in the Department.
